Both apps work the same way for your guests. They scan a QR code, and a page opens in their phone browser. They pick photos and tap upload. No app, no account. The big difference is what happens to the photos after that.

What each GuestPix price gets you
Classic, $49. One gallery, one QR code, and one digital invite with RSVPs. Unlimited photos and videos. Guests can upload for 3 months. The gallery is hosted for 12 months from your wedding date.
Signature, $89. Everything in Classic, plus your own colors and fonts, unlimited albums, and a 12-month upload window. Still 12 months of hosting.
Signature Bundle, $119. Three galleries, so you could cover the shower, the rehearsal dinner, and the wedding. You get 24 months of uploads and hosting, counted from the day you buy. Their checkout page calls it "$119 for 2 years".
Every plan includes photo moderation, a slideshow, a written and video guestbook, the template library, and a 14-day money-back guarantee. GuestPix says the unlimited uploads are subject to a fair use policy, with up to 1,000 guests per event.
The storage difference, said plainly
GuestPix keeps your photos on their servers. That is why there is a 12-month clock. When the year is up, you pay a renewal fee or the gallery goes away. On the $49 plan, guests also stop being able to upload after 3 months. That matters more than it sounds. People keep finding wedding photos on their phones for months.
WeddingQR never keeps your photos. Each one goes into your Google Drive at full size as soon as it is uploaded. It lands in a folder with that guest's name, and the file is named with the date the photo was taken. There is nothing to renew, because we never held the photos in the first place. If WeddingQR shut down the day after your wedding, your photos would already be in your Drive.
Where GuestPix is the better pick
GuestPix does things we do not. If you want a video guestbook, GuestPix has one. If you want digital invitations and RSVP tracking in the same app as your photos, GuestPix does that too. And if you like to design your own signs, their library of 180+ templates is big and easy to use.
Where WeddingQR is the better pick
Price, and no clock. WeddingQR is $10 less than GuestPix's cheapest plan, and it includes things GuestPix saves for higher tiers. Guests can upload forever. Videos are included. The gallery never expires. One $39 payment covers all your events, so the engagement party, the shower, and the wedding all run on the same account.
